- Written language- The Egyptian writing system began with pictograms, the first of which date back to 6000 B.C.

- Papyrus Sheets- The Egyptians had developed durable sheets of writing materal made from the papyrus plant ( A stiff, reedlike plant that grow along the Nile area).
